There’s this fabulous account on Instagram I follow, the handle is @before5am.
Your sleep time plays a large role in how successful you become and remain
I found the most recent post inspiring enough to share.
Before5am: Sunday Night is the best time to set up the week ahead and get clear on what you need to accomplish to move closer to those big dreams & goals.
•Take a look at your life goals and plan out the big things you can do this week with your body, diet, work, business ideas, finances and relationships.
•Break each day down and have at least 3 big things on each of the days you absolutely MUST get done.
•It’s also a great time to set up your playlist of 5 songs that motivate you and select a few motivational videos from YouTube that will get you fired up and excited to get out of bed and make big things happen.
•Have an amazingly powerful and successful week and if you set it up right you will be half way there.
•Oh and one more thing… Set your alarm for before 5am!
Here’s how I can relate:
Your sleep time plays a large role in how successful you become and remain. You hear ‘Burn the midnight oil’ or it’s brother ‘early to bed early to rise’. So yep, stay up late or wake up early.
I practiced the whole of this week and the results weren’t encouraging
I’ve always been the Night Owl, anyone who knows me can testify that the best hours to reach me are between midnight and 4.00am.
My goals for this year have been set in motion and I painfully accepted that I have to switch clock, my sleeping hours will move to 9.30pm to 4/4.30am (ideally🙈)
I practiced the whole of this week and the results weren’t encouraging, I’m still very wide eyed at 2.00am.
I’m adjusting strategies, this will include cancelling my erstwhile compulsory 45min siesta, exercising in the evenings, and if all fails, a bottle of stout.
Happy new year,
P:s : I know I owe a post, but I travelled to my village and the all the fun did not let me!
